Tatyana is the winner of 20 Paralympic medals including 8 gold medals, and 24 major world marathon wins! She is one of the most famous paralympic athletes in the world.

Speakers for the virtual summit will include Tatyana, the three authors of Retire Secure for Parents of a Child with a Disability* (which we believe is the best and most comprehensive financial resource for parents of a child with a disability) and a number of experts in related areas.

I am in the early stages of planning this educational and inspiring dynamic three-day virtual summit devoted to parents and families of children with disabilities. We plan to offer expert insights and interactive workshops. We hope to be a catalyst for a brighter, more empowered future by providing this community with unprecedented access to a collection of valuable resources.

The Most Important Work of My Life

As parents of a child with a disability, my wife and I worried endlessly about our daughter’s future. How would she manage after we were gone? So much is dependent on her financial security.

Using my specialized expertise in inherited IRAs and retirement plans as well as Roth IRA conversions, I came up with the best financial solution and the strategy to execute the solution.  It is a three-part plan.

For the parts of the plan where I am not a true expert, I brought together a dream team of experts who work with parents of children with disabilities.

Deborah L. McFadden is the Former United States Commissioner of Disabilities.  She knows more about the intricacies of applying for SSI and SSDI than anyone I know of.  Her contribution to the book could be life-changing for tens of thousands of readers.  Furthermore, Deborah brings a wealth of personal expertise to the area.  Her daughter, Tatyana McFadden, is one of the best known paralympic champions in the world with 20 Paralympic medals including 8 gold medals and 24 World Major Marathon wins.

Julieanne E. Steinbacher, Esq., the other co-author is a Special Needs Planning expert.  Julieanne helps parents of a child with a disability with their estate plans drafting wills, special needs trusts, powers of attorneys, etc. for Pennsylvania residents.

All the authors think this is by far the best financial/information resource for parents of a child with a disability.

My life mission now is to get the information in the book to as many parents of a child with a disability as I possibly can.

If you feel inclined, one way you could help would be to provide me with a referral to someone you know who is affiliated with an organization or group that offers presentations for parents of children with disabilities.  An email introduction would mean the world to me, and I know my information would be appreciated and valued by any audience of people who share my concerns and who cares for children with disabilities.

Please feel free to share this link, DisabledChildPlanning.com/Jim with as many people as you think would benefit from the information.

This link, DisabledChildPlanning.com/RetireSecure allows you to choose as many or as few of our free offers as interests you including a complete digital version of the book, the executive summary and/or a synopsis of the book.  If you download the book, we highly recommend that you begin by reviewing the Table of Contents to quickly identify the information that is relevant and pertinent to your circumstances.

On a personal note, Cindy and I recently celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary.  We are back in Tucson for the winter now, working as hard as ever.  The biggest difference between Pittsburgh and Tucson is that work meetings in Tucson are held over Zoom… and the weather.
